IleneIlene Rosenblum is a writer and marketing professional living in Jerusalem, providing website content and social media solutions to businesses and organizations in Israel and abroad.  She has been a contributor to publications such as The Washington Post and their religion blog, OnFaith, The Jerusalem Post and TheJewishWoman.com, a Chabad.org affiliate, and the Beyond BT blog, as well as a blog, for the women’s Torah learning institute Nishmat.  She also covers online marketing tools and social media in her professional blog.

When not glued to the computer, she enjoys taking hikes and jogging throughout Israel, cooking, studying Torah, brushing up on her Spanish and Hebrew, and enjoying a good cup of coffee.

A native of Albany, N.Y., Ilene is a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and worked in Washington, D.C. before moving to Jerusalem, with a few backpacking trips through South America in between.

This blog is about the latest stage – taking a break from the working world, picking up and moving halfway across the world, returning to a sometimes foreign “home” and to the Torah that lies in the heart of every Jew and starting over.
